Young Turkmen football players won medals in three age groups at the AFL Kids Cup  2024 tournament

At the AFL Kids Cup 2024 international football tournament among children and teenagers held in Tashkent, Turkmen teams showed excellent results, winning three medals in different age categories. This is stated in the report of the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

Gold medals went to teams from Turkmenistan in two age groups. Among athletes born in 2012, the Batly team took first place, and in the category born in 2014, the Gökje team won. Both Turkmen teams beat five opponents in their groups. Gökje midfielder Amanmurad Rejepov especially distinguished himself, who was recognized as the best player of the tournament.

In the age group born in 2009, the Çandybil team from Ashgabat won silver medals. Turkmen football players lost only to the hosts of the tournament in the final match. Çandybil captain Amanmyrat Charyev was recognized as the best striker in his age category.
