Four schoolchildren from Turkmenistan achieved success at the prestigious 58th International Mendeleev Olympiad in Chemistry, held from April 21 to 26 in Shenzhen (China) at the Russian-Chinese University MSU-PPI.
According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, under the guidance of the teacher of the Specialized Boarding School named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashy Nazar Mamedov, 11th grade students Shatlyk Batyrov, Aigul
Atajanova, Dzheren Akmyradova and 10th grade student Rustem Jumayev performed. Each of the Turkmen participants won a bronze medal.
151 schoolchildren from 26 countries took part in the Olympiad. And the tasks for Olympiad participants are traditionally more difficult than those given at the World Chemistry Olympiad. They require not only theoretical training, but also teamwork skills and a creative approach.
