WWII veterans received gifts in Turkmenistan

In Turkmenistan, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, in honor of the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 19411945, veterans in all velayats of the country and the city of Ashgabat were solemnly presented with a cash gift in the amount of 200 manats and valuable gifts with wishes of good health and good spirits.

Thus, representatives of the velayat and etrap hyakimliks, public organizations, military personnel, and youth came to see 99-year-old veteran Ata Tutlykov, a resident of the village of Gozgan in the Kaakhka etrap, the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reported.

Veteran of the Great Patriotic War of 19411945 Orazguly Muhammedov from the city of Kizylarvat was approaching the glorious Victory Day. Today he is well over 90, but he remembers the difficult roads of war.

Kosheka Soltanmyradov, who now lives in the city of Gubadag, Boldumsaz etrap, Dashoguz velayat, experienced all the hardships of the war years.At the age of eighteen, he volunteered to go to the front.

The heroic past is evidenced by the numerous awards adorning the veteran’s chest.Yazek Urazov, a resident of the gengeshlik Chovdur of the Boldumsaz etrap, enjoys the same authority in the etrap.

He went to the front in 1943 and fought bravely as part of a rifle company.Returning from the front, he worked with dignity for the good of the Motherland.

Representatives of the velayat and Turkmenabat city hyakimliks and public organizations came to the house of veteran Ivan Vasilyevich Agupov with congratulations.Particular attention these days goes to the home front veteran, resident of the city of Turkmenabat Babakuly Achilov, whose childhood and youth were during the war years.

Together with his peers, at the age of 11, he worked, helping his elders.And then he devoted forty-two years to peaceful labor, working at a reinforced concrete products factory.

War veterans were congratulated in Mary velayat:

Ashir Ovezdurdy a resident of the gengeshlik of Saryyazy, Takhtabazar etrap;

Aydogdy Amadiyev a resident of Gengeshlik Peshanali, Mary etrap;

Shamy Abdyev a resident of the city of Yolotan, Yolotan etrap.

All veterans expressed sincere gratitude to the head of state for his tireless care and attention to the older generation.
