Weightlifter Perhat Bagtyyarov won silver at the Youth World Championships in Albania

Perhat Bagtyyarov from Turkmenistan won silver at the 2023 World Weightlifting Championships in Albania in the weight category up to 61 kg.

16 years old student of the Ashgabat sports school “Olimp” Perhat Bagtyyarov became the first in the snatch (114 kg), the second in the clean and jerk (144 kg) and in the total (258 kg).

Filipino Albert Delos Santos won with a result of 259 kg (110 + 149). The Vietnamese K'Brum won the bronze medal - 255 kg (113+142).

Thus, Bagtyyarov got the second medal for the national team of Turkmenistan at the world championship in Durres (Albania). Earlier, Ogulshat Amanova won gold in the category up to 45 kg. Turkmenistan is represented at these competitions by nine weightlifters.
