Washington To Host Trans-Caspian Transport Route Development Forum

The 8th annual Trans-Caspian Forum titled "Optimizing the Middle Corridor" is set to take place on May 21, 2024, in Washington, USA, as reported by the Caspian Policy Center (CPC).

"By collaborating with the embassies of the Caspian region, the South Caucasus, and neighboring countries such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, we are organizing the Middle Corridor forum," CPC's website states.

Organized by the CPC, the forum will feature three sessions discussing the development of strategic partnerships between the US and the Caspian region, the advancement of the Middle Corridor route, and conducting business within the Middle Corridor.

The International Trans-Caspian Transport Route (Middle Corridor) connects European and Asian countries, traversing China, Kazakhstan, the waters of the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. This route is utilized for container shipments via rail and maritime transport.
