Virgil Abloh Graffiti Table Auctioned for 151 000 USD

The desktop of iconic American fashion designer and designer Virgil Abloh was presented at Sotheby's auction. A concrete “Efflorescence” desk painted with graffiti by Abloh sold for 151 000 USD, reports elitethings.com.

The desk, shown at the Parisian contemporary art gallery “Galerie Kreo” in 2019, is cast in concrete and has rounded edges with odd cavities and cutouts. The fashion designer used the desk as a canvas, spray-painting it on it.

As notes the publication, all the proceeds from the sale of the desk went to the Virgil Abloh Charitable Foundation, which supports creative people.
