Veterans to be presented with 200 manats in the run-up to 9 May

The state information agency TDH reports that on 21 April, in the course of the Cabinet session President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov signed a decree “On presenting gifts to mark the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the War of 1941-1945” .

Pursuant to the decree issued by the head of the state, the war veterans as well as widows of soldiers who died in the war will be presented with valuable gifts and 200 manats ($28 using “the black market” exchange rate).

Let us recall that since 2012 the Great Patriotic War has been referred to as the “War of 1941-1945” in Turkmenistan.
