Veteran of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers were honored in Ahal velayat on the Victory Day

Recently, in the festively decorated hall of the House of Culture of the city of Anau, in honor of the Victory Day, honoring of veterans of the war and home front was held, according to the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.

Only one participant of the Great Patriotic War, a 97 years old Ata Tutlykov, a resident of the Gozgan village of the Kaakhka etrap, remained in Ahal velayat.

The celebration was also attended by home front workers and labor veterans. Gul Aydogdiyeva from the Geoktepe etrap told how during the war years her peers helped their elders in all chores, in the fields and factories. Home front worker Meretgeldy Hydyrliev from the Ak Bugday etrap also shared his memories:
