Vepa Hajiyev appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Switzerland

Vepa Hajiyev was relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and appointed the country's ambassador to Switzerland. A resolution on this was signed by the President of Turkmenistan SerdarBerdimuhamedov at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Monday, TDH reports.

Hajiyev was also given the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. At the same time, he was appointed permanent representative of Turkmenistan to the UN office in Geneva.

Previously the ambassador of Turkmenistan to Switzerland and the country's permanent representative to the UN office in Geneva, Atageldy Haljanov was relieved of his posts due to a transfer to another job.
