Uzbekistan will buy electricity from Turkmenistan. UzDaily reports with reference to the press secretary of the President of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov.
Asadov said that during the recent official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Ashgabat, the countries agreed to cooperate in the energy sector. According to him, Uzbekistan will buy 4 billion kWh of electricity from Turkmenistan.
Let us remind that during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan, more than 10 documents were signed in various areas of cooperation.
Let us add that today, Turkmen electricity, in addition to Uzbekistan, is exported to Iran, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
