Uzbekistan Targets Turkmen Crude Oil Purchase

Representatives of PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd and representatives of Uzbekneftegaz JSC in a meeting on Tuesday in Uzbekistan reached an agreement to jointly prepare a program of oil supplies from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan in 2023, the Uzbekneftegaz said in its press release.

The meeting considered the implementation of previously reached agreements and prospects of cooperation in the oil industry.

The participants stressed the importance of development of mutually beneficial trade and economic relations.

They also discussed prospects of cooperation of Bukhara Oil Refinery with production enterprises of PETRONAS Carigali. Particular attention was paid to the possibility of establishing long-term cooperation in importing crude oil to load the capacity of the refinery.

PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd is one of the operators of oil and gas production on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea. It is a subsidiary of the Malaysian fully integrated oil and gas multinational Petronas, which ranks among the world's leading oil and gas companies in terms of production volumes.
