US scientists are developing a program to combat smartphone addiction

American scientists have developed a mobile application, InteractOut, designed to help people get rid of excessive dependence on smartphones. It works on a simple but effective principle: the longer the user sits on the phone, the more his productivity drops.

The application deliberately slows down the operation of the gadget, making its use less comfortable. This, according to the developers, should irritate the user and encourage him to put down the smartphone.

Research results have shown that InteractOut is 16% more effective than conventional app time limiters in combating smartphone addiction. Mail.ru reports this.
