US Ambassador Klimov Bids Farewell, Highlights Strengthened US-Turkmenistan Relations

In a heartfelt and comprehensive farewell, the departing US Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Matthew S. Klimow addressed the media today in his final press conference held at the US Ambassador's Residence this Monday, marking the conclusion of his tenure.

Journalists from various media outlets attended the event to reflect on the ambassador's contributions and discuss future prospects for bilateral relations.

During the press conference, Ambassador Klimow highlighted the significant accomplishments achieved during his tenure. He stated that one of the most important aspects of his term has been the strengthening of the ties between the United States and Turkmenistan on the basis of trust and understanding, acknowledging Turkmen side’s proficiency in the fruition of joint projects.

Matthew S. Klimow informed the participants that he will depart the country on July 6th, and that his successor, Ambassador-designate Elizabeth Rood, will arrive on July 23rd.
