Universities of Turkmenistan and Japan signed memorandums of understanding

Two Turkmen universities signed memorandums of understanding in the scientific and educational sphere with colleagues from Japan during the visit of the country’s delegation to Tokyo led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

In particular, a Memorandum of Understanding was concluded by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Soka University of Japan. A similar document was signed by the Oguz Han Turkmen University of Engineering and Technology and the Japanese-Turkmen Association for Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

The signing was preceded by a series of meetings between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the leadership of Japanese universities. They discussed issues of further strengthening ties in the field of education and science, opportunities for implementing joint educational, scientific and technical projects.

Rectors of universities in Turkmenistan held meetings with the leadership of the Japanese Soka University, the head of the Nippon Foundation and the teaching staff of various Japanese educational institutions.
