UNDP launches a course on gender issues for civil servants of Turkmenistan

A specialized online course on gender mainstreaming for civil servants of Turkmenistan is being launched by the UN Development Program.

Designed for government officials, professionals, students and anyone interested in gender equality and human rights, the course will cover important topics such as basic gender definitions, international standards, gender mainstreaming in public policy, tools for gender analysis, local gender stereotypes, strategies for achieving gender equality, national frameworks, preventing gender-based violence and engaging men in efforts to promote gender equality.

The course is offered in English, Russian and Turkmen and includes texts, quizzes, presentations and other content, providing you with the necessary knowledge and skills to promote gender equality in your work. Participants who successfully complete the course and pass the test will receive an electronic certificate.

And about. The UNDP Resident Representative in Turkmenistan, Mr. Tomica Paovic, noted:

The course is expected to provide civil servants with a comprehensive understanding of gender equality concepts and international standards, enhance their ability to integrate gender perspectives into public policies and enable them to actively promote gender-responsive governance in Turkmenistan.
