UNDP has handed over another batch of Lantus insulin to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan

UNDP handed over another batch of Lantus insulin to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan 75,000 pre-filled syringes worth a total of US$330,000. The drug was purchased with funding from the Government of Turkmenistan.

Since 2021, UNDP and Turkmenistan have been implementing joint projects under the Agreement on the Provision of Medicines for the Prevention and Treatment of Non-Communicable Diseases in the country. The projects are fully funded by the Government of Turkmenistan.

The total budget of the projects amounted to more than US $92 million.
