Ukraine Business Review Publishes Article on Anau City

Ukraine Business Review newspaper published an article "Anau City - the Birthplace of Ancient Turkmen Culture," with the participation of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine on March 18.

The article highlights the cultural and historical significance of the invaluable heritage of Anau City, which boasts a history spanning over seven thousand years, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine.

Special attention is paid to the Seyit Jamal ad-Din Mosque, built in the mid-15th century, as well as the unique findings of ancient settlements within the territory of Anau and numerous artifacts.

In 2024, Anau was declared the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY). This year, Turkmenistan and TURKSOY have prepared a rich program of events aimed at enhancing the cultural significance of the ancient city of Anau.

Furthermore, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, together with the Magtymguly Pyragy Library in Kyiv, organized an artistic reading of poems on the occasion of World Poetry Day, celebrated annually on March 21, and the 300th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy.
