Two residents of Leningrad blockade live in Turkmenistan

As previously reported, January 18, 2023 marks the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the blockade of Leningrad. Today, two blockaders live in the capital of Turkmenistan - Galina Mamedova and Maria Avanesova. The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo reported this on the page on social networks.

Let us note that during a visit to Ashgabat in September 2021, a delegation of the Government of Saint Petersburg handed over letters of thanks to the blockade survivors and veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

In addition, in February 2020, the Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov presented commemorative signs to the blockade survivors living in Ashgabat in honor of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad.
