Two new villages will be opened in Ovadandepe and Kopetdag gengeshliks of Gokdepe district on the eve of the 32nd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, the country’s official media reported on Friday.

Each village will include 400 residential homes. These villages will also house secondary schools for 640 students, kindergartens for up to 320 children, polyclinics, shopping centers and other modern facilities.

Work is currently underway to prepare for the opening of new settlements, which will complement the existing modern settlements in the province, according to the report.

The construction of the villages were carried out by the member-businesses of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).
