“Turkmenpost” carries out cash and non-cash money transfers throughout Turkmenistan

The postal company “Turkmenpost” offers the citizens of Turkmenistan services for the transfer of funds through the country's post offices.

To make a transfer through the post office, the sender must present his passport or other identification document.

Transfer fees

When transferring funds, “Turkmenpost” charges a commission in the amount of 1 to 5 percent of the total amount of the transfer:

- from 1 to 1000 manats - 5%;

- from 1001 to 2000 manats - 4%;

- from 2001 to 3000 manats - 3%;

- from 3001 to 4000 manats - 2%;

- from 4001 to 5000 manats - 1%.

Also, for the service of issuing an official paper of a postal money transfer, an amount of 2 manats is charged from the client.

This service is available in all branches of “Turkmenpost”.

Actions in case of unclaimed money transfer by the recipient

In cases where the recipient of the transfer did not appear at the branch of “Turkmenpost” for the cash sent to him within 30 calendar days, the funds are returned to the sender at the post office from which the transfer was made. The sender is notified of this within 5 days.

If the sender also does not come to the post office, the postal operator will transfer the unclaimed funds to the company's account for a period of 3 (three) years with a corresponding notification to the sender.
