Turkmenistan Witnesses 8.2% Growth in Productivity

The volume of products manufactured in Turkmenistan surged by 8.2 percent compared to the same period in 2023, as revealed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Economic and Financial Affairs Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, during an extended Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday.

In his report, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted a 10.6 percent increase in retail trade turnover in January of this year compared to the corresponding period last year, according to Turkmenistan's official media.

The state budget showcased a revenue fulfillment of 104.8 percent, with the expenditure side at 97.1 percent, as outlined in the report. Geldimyradov also underscored a 24.6 percent year-on-year surge in the volume of capital investments disbursed in January of this year from all financing sources.

The Head of Turkmenistan stressed the significance of implementing measures to sustain GDP growth and ensure the balanced development of industries, providing the Deputy Prime Minister with specific instructions.

During the government meeting, the results of the national economy sectors' performance for January were reviewed, and various current issues in public life were deliberated upon.
