Turkmenistan will take part in the X Foodex Saudi International Trade Exhibition in Riyadh

Turkmenistan will take part in the X Foodex Saudi International Trade Exhibition, which will be held in Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) in September this year. Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdaev reported on the ongoing work in this direction at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports today.

Foodex Saudi is Saudi Arabia's leading international trade show dedicated 100% to the food and beverage industry. It accepts food suppliers of all categories, from fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry and seafood to new niche segments and all types of finished products.

At the Government meeting, it was also reported on the preparations for the World Exhibition "EXPO-2025" in Osaka (Japan) and the International Review "EXPO-2023 Doha" held from October 2, 2023 to March 28, 2024, dedicated to the protection of natural resources and the environment, the prevention of desertification, water saving, the development of alternative energy sources, the creation of green cities, etc.

After listening to the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the participation of Turkmenistan in world exhibition forums provides an opportunity to widely demonstrate the achievements and successes of our country to the international community, and at the same time to get acquainted with the best world experience in various fields, expand the geography of mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners.

The head of state focused on the need for organizational preparation for the upcoming international exhibitions abroad, giving instructions to the vice-premier in this regard.
