Turkmenistan will participate in a number of European Union events

Turkmenistan will take part in a number of events in Brussels in order to develop cooperation with the European Union, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

In particular, the delegation of Turkmenistan will take part in the 15th meeting of the Human Rights Dialogue “Turkmenistan European Union”, which will be held on December 18.

On December 19, the Turkmen delegation will be represented at the 22nd meeting of the Joint Committee “Turkmenistan - EU”, within the framework of which the parties are developing economic cooperation.

Turkmenistan will also be represented at the Transport Investment Forum, which will be held in the Belgian capital on January 29-30, 2024.

In the first quarter of next year, it is planned to organize meetings of the Turkmen side with relevant EU structures to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the field of energy.

In the second quarter of 2024, it is proposed to organize a meeting of experts on the transport sector within the framework of the agreements reached during the ministerial meeting of the “EU-CA” format in October this year in Luxembourg.

Summarizing the report of the Deputy Prime Minister, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the mutually beneficial partnership with the European Union should be increased, and therefore gave the head of the Foreign Ministry specific instructions.
