Turkmenistan will join the CAREC project in the field of trade

Turkmenistan will join the CAREC Improved Transit System and Shared Information Pilot Project, which aims to improve supply chain security in the CAREC region, as well as reduce the overall costs of transit trade.

According to the press service of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the practical steps for the implementation of this project were discussed today at a meeting with authorized representatives of the Asian Development Bank and the CAREC program in the field of trade.

It is noted that the meeting was held at the request of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, which was determined by the coordinating agency for this project.

It is also reported that the parties have reviewed the text of the Memorandum of Understanding on CATS/OOI.
