Turkmenistan will increase electricity supplies to Afghanistan

Turkmenistan is working to increase the supply of electricity to Afghanistan in Serhetabat-Gerat-Turgundi and Rabatkashan-Kalainau areas.

The increase in supply, commissioning of new transmission lines promote the improvement of social conditions of life of the Afghan people, opening of new industries in this country, and, as a consequence, the emergence of new jobs.

Contracts on the Turkmen electricity supply to neighboring Afghanistan were concluded in accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov adopted in November 2017.

Along with these measures of assistance to Afghanistan, hundreds of young Afghans study in Turkmen universities, the energy specialty in Ashgabat.
