Turkmenistan will celebrate Gurban Bayram on June 28-29-30

From June 28 to 30, Turkmenistan will celebrate a national holiday Gurban Bayram. Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova, who is in charge of the sphere of culture, reported this to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on Friday, announced the “Watan” information program of the Turkmen television.

The plan of cultural events for the coming month presented by the Deputy Prime Minister also includes creative and intellectual competitions, sports competitions, thematic meetings dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet Magtymguly Fragi.

It is worth noting that Gurban Bayram, one of the two main Islamic holidays, is celebrated 70 days after another major holiday, Oraza Bayram. The days of its celebration in Turkmenistan are non-working.
