To increase supplies by 25 billion cubic meters, it is planned to use the second stage. The third stage will become the resource base for the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project with a capacity of 33 billion cubic meters per year, Babayev said.

He noted that “Turkmengaz”, together with the British Gaffney, Cline & Associates, is updating the geological and hydrodynamic model for the phased development of the Galkynysh field.A tender has also been announced for the construction of an underground gas storage facility in the country to level out seasonal unevenness in the production and consumption of blue fuel, as well as to ensure the stability of its exports.
