Turkmenistan, U.S. Discuss Joint Projects Implementation

Turkmenistan and the United States explored opportunities to implement economic, energy, and infrastructure projects that align with sustainable development goals.

The discussions took place during a meeting on Wednesday between Rahymberdi Jepbarov, Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan, Reta Jo Lewis, President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), and Richard Duke, Deputy Special Envoy for Climate at the U.S. State Department.

During the meeting, the officials examined financing mechanisms for sustainable projects and the potential for attracting advanced technologies. They underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to promote sustainable development and discussed possible sources of financial and technological resources to achieve these objectives.

EXIM is a U.S. government bank that supports American exports through loans, guarantees, and insurance for foreign buyers, helping to stimulate the purchase of U.S. products and create jobs domestically
