Turkmenistan took part in the Central Asian Consultative Meeting on Media Issues in Astana

Deputy State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography Annasahet Kakayev took part in the Consultative Meeting of authorized bodies on media issues of the countries of the Central Asian region, which was held in Astana on August 8 as part of strengthening cooperation and development of the information space.

According to the IIC, during the meeting, representatives of the countries discussed measures to improve media literacy and combat the spread of fake information.

The meeting participants emphasized the importance of joint efforts to counter global challenges in the media industry.

The parties agreed to consider the possibility of creating a Central Asian television channel and a regional media platform.
