Turkmenistan to Modernize Four Railway Stations in Provinces

Turkmenistan envisages construction of new modern buildings at the railway stations of Bayramali city of Mary province, Kaka and Baherden districts of Ahal province, and Balkanabat city of Balkan province, according to the brief by Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakiyev at the cabinet meeting hosted by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Saturday.

Construction at the railway stations is planned in accordance with the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028", according to the country’s official media.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of modernization of railway infrastructure in Turkmenistan to achieve priority goals of the state policy. He stated the necessity to apply advanced technologies in construction, addressing a number of specific instructions to the Head of the Agency.

The government meeting considered topical tasks of socio-economic development of the country and drafts of a number of documents.
