Turkmenistan to Launch Special Passenger Train Service Between Ashgabat, Turkmenbashi

Special passenger train will start traveling daily from Turkmenistan’s capital of Ashgabat to Turkmenbashi city and vice versa starting June 1 to transport citizens from Ashgabat and the country's velayats to Avaza National Tourist Zone.

The Chairman of the Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways) Agency Azat Atamyradov reported on the launch of the special train service to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Friday during an off-site meeting of the Emergency Commission to Combat the Spread of Diseases in the Avaza NTZ, the country’s official media reports.

Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of ensuring the proper operation of the railway transport, and adressed relevant instructions to the Agency’s Chairman.

During his report at the meeting, the Chairman of the Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) Agency Dovran Saburov informed about the measures to organize additional flights in accordance with the planned summer vacation schedule at the Avaza NTZ.
