Turkmenistan to Increase Routes and Number of International Flights

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave Mammethan Chakiyev, the General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers, the task to prepare proposals on increasing the routes and the number of international flights.

The instruction was given during the during the online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, according to the country’s official media.

Addressing Chakiyev, the Head of State emphasized the importance of the work carried out by the transport complex, focusing on the need to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners.

In this regard, the Head of the Agency was instructed to take appropriate measures for implementation of the areas of cooperation discussed at the Ministerial Transport Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries held in Avaza National Tourist Zone of the country.

The Government meeting summed up the results of the activities of the sectors of the national economic complex over the past eight months of 2022, and discussed important task aimed at the socio-economic development of the country.
