The expo center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat will host an exhibition devoted to the development of the carpet, textile and trade sectors on May 29, Chary Gylyjov, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government, overseeing the country’s trade and textile complex, announced in his report to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Thursday.
On his report on the ongoing preparations for Turkmen Carpet Festival and Trade Fair, the Vice-Premier presented a draft work program, which also includes the holding of a conference of the World Association of Connoisseurs of Turkmen Handmade Carpet Weaving, an award ceremony of Turkmen carpet weavers and cultural events.
Gylyjov also briefed on the commissioning of new industrial enterprises in the country and creation of jobs.
Following the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated the importance of the annual forums in popularizing the achievements of the national carpet weaving in the world.The Head of State stressed that such events should be aimed at further promotion of Turkmen products in the global market and improving the competitiveness of domestic producers, and addressed a number of instructions to the Vice-Premier to ensure their high organization level.
The government meeting also considered other issues, and adopted a number of documents and necessary decisions aimed at the development of the industries.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that such events should be aimed at further promotion of Turkmen products in the global market.
