Turkmenistan takes part in IFRC statutory events in Geneva

The National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST) is taking part in the statutory events of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which are taking place in Geneva from 27 to 31 October.

From 27 to 28 October, the Council of Delegates was held, where representatives of the National Societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent gathered to discuss current issues of humanitarian aid, exchange experiences and coordinate efforts in the field of humanitarian protection and assistance. From 29 to 31 October, the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, the Movement’s highest governing body, will be held at the Geneva International Conference Centre. It will adopt relevant resolutions defining the Movement’s activities for the next 4 years.

The Conference brings together representatives of all National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, as well as representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). The main topics of the forum are:

On the sidelines of the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to discuss current issues of the Movement, network with each other, visit a humanitarian village and attend extra-curricular activities.
