Turkmenistan stands for expanding energy supplies throughout the CIS and beyond

Turkmenistan is in favor of expanding the volumes and geography of energy supplies across the CIS and beyond. This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during his speech at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Moscow, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan sees the creation of conditions for the functioning of the “green” economy in the CIS as an important area of cooperation. The head of state also noted that it is necessary to use the scientific and technological potential of the CIS countries to form economic and production clusters based on low-carbon energy.

It is worth noting that the 29th International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan” (OGT 2024) will be held in Ashgabat from October 23 to 25. The event will be attended by more than 300 delegates from 34 countries.
