Turkmenistan sends humanitarian aid to earthquake-hit Iran

On 23 July President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov signed a resolution to “provide humanitarian aid” to residents of Iran affected by the earthquake.

The humanitarian cargo was delivered by plane later the same day and handed over to the Red Crescent Society of Iran, the state information agency TDH reports.

On 22 July, 2018 the earthquake, with a magnitudes of 5.7, which hit the western Iranian province of Kermanshah, injured 287, RBK with reference to the state television and radio company IRIB reports.

Temporary accommodation will be provided to residents of the province whose houses have been fully ruined. Tents will be distributed to those in need of temporary accommodation.

The earthquake damaged 54 residential houses and cut off electricity in 15 villages. The temblor could be felt on the territory of the entire province.
