Turkmenistan Sees the SCO as a Significant And Promising Partner

Speaking at the meeting of heads of delegations in the SCO+ format within the framework of the next Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), held in Astana, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that our country sees the SCO as a significant and promising partner.

Turkmenistan, which is not the first time participating as an honorary guest in the meetings of the Organization, perceives this status as a sign of respect and an indicator of a high level of trust and openness towards our country, the desire to develop close partnership ties with it, Hero-Arkadag emphasized.

This approach fully meets the intentions of Turkmenistan, noted the National Leader of the Turkmen people, emphasizing that cooperation with the SCO meets national interests, is capable of significantly and positively influencing the course and direction of regional processes, and contributing to the stabilization of the international situation.

Our country has deep historical ties, geographical proximity, common values and worldview with the peoples and states that are part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and work with it. Today, mutual interest in the economy, trade, investment, and technology is added to this, said the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
