Turkmenistan’s Ýigit Exports 1.5-2 Thousand Tons of Tomatoes Every Month

The Turkmen agriculture producer Ýigit monthly exports 1.5-2 thousand tons of its Mahmal branded tomatoes to Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the local Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

The company operates a 34-hectare tomato greenhouse complex on 1,000 hectares of land, which was allocated to it in the Kaka district of Ahal province.

Every month, it supplies 200 tons of the Mahmal tomatoes to the domestic market, according to the report.

The greenhouse complex was commissioned in February 2019 and currently employs around 500 people. The company presently grows Marvelans, Altes, Merlis and other varieties of tomatoes.
