Turkmenistan’s Türkmengaz Boosts Output of Processed Natural Gas Products

Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern in January-October of this year increased the production of gasoline three times compared with the same period last year.

According to Orient news outlet’s Friday report, the Turkmen national gas company increased production of polyethylene and polypropylene by 142.2% and 122.7%, respectively. The State Concern’s modern polymer plant in Kiyanly in Balkan velayat facilitated the increase in production of these highly demanded processed products with high added value in Turkmenistan.

During the 10-month period, Türkmengaz increased the production of liquefied gases by 17.4%, as well as sulfur by 0.3%, which are additional products of production at the plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in Ahal.

Turkmenistan has the world’s fourth largest proven natural gas reserves after Russia, Iran and Qatar. The country's natural gas reserves are currently estimated at 50 trillion cubic meters.
