Turkmenistan's Single Window System Processes Over 20,000 Applications

Thanks to the efforts of the Esteemed President, the Single Window for Export-Import Operations system has been implemented in Turkmenistan.The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan is the coordinator of this project.

In order to ensure the availability of the system for participants in foreign economic activity, web portal, Single Window for Export-Import Operations (www.tradebridge.gov.tm), was created.

The mechanism allows all users to provide information on goods or vehicles passing through the customs border at a single point and fulfill all the requirements for the registration of export and import operations.

The system includes 16 ministries and 22 structural units of line agencies. They are engaged in issuing licenses, certificates and other permits for participants in foreign economic activity regarding the movement of goods and vehicles through customs border of the country using the Single Window for Export-Import Operations information system.

Currently, about 5,000 participants in foreign economic activity are registered in the system, and the number of applications submitted in electronic form and processed by authorized bodies is more than 20,000.

The Single Window for Export-Import Operations system, when implementing recommendations and standards of the UN, World Customs and World Trade Organizations were used.
