Turkmenistan’s Mary to Receive 6,000 tons of Russian Wheat Seeds

A total of 6 thousand tons of wheat seeds of Alekseyich and Bezostaya varieties will be delivered to Turkmenistan’s Mary province from Russia, the official Turkmen media reported on Monday.

More than 1,000 tons of the seeds, characterized by high yield, resistance to cold and drought, as well as to diseases and shattering, have already arrived in Mary province.

The seeds will be sown on a total of 35.5 thousand hectares in all districts of Mary provinces.

According to the report, this extensive renewal of wheat seeds provides good germination and increased yield.

This sowing season, wheat will be grown on 170 thousand hectares of land in Mary province. More than 39 thousand tons of the seeds have been prepared for this season.
