Turkmenistan's Leadership Extends Condolences to Iran's Leadership

Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, extended their condolences to the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran following the death of Iran's President, Ebrahim Raisi.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) died in a helicopter crash on May 19 of the current year in the East Azerbaijan province of Iran, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

According to IRNA, the crashed helicopter also carried Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, East Azerbaijan province Governor Malek Rahmati, and Mehdi Musavi, the head of Raisi's security team. They were accompanied by Mohammad Ali ale-Hashem, the representative of the Supreme Leader in the province.

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on Monday, the country expressed readiness to provide assistance in connection with the helicopter crash in Iran.
