Employees of hydrometeorological posts of Turkmenistan from various regions of the country took part in the annual technical meeting of the regional project aimed at cooperation of meteorological and hydrological organizations and departments of the Central Asian states.
As reported by Turkmenistan: Golden Age, the meeting is taking place in the mountainous area of the Leiner resort near Tashkent from October 28 to November 1 and brings together employees of the national hydrometeorological services of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The participants listened to a course of lectures on methods of data processing when modernizing their hydrological monitoring systems.
The applied direction of the meeting was scientific reports on observations of weather and nature, including the state of pastures of the Karakum desert, prepared by a representative of the National Institute of Deserts, Flora and Fauna of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.
The regional project will develop a joint working method of digital operational hydrology, ensuring effective processing of monitoring data with an invitation to partnership from academia and the public sector.
