Turkmenistan’s Guwlyduz Plant Produces Over 48.2 Thousand Tons of Salt

Guwlyduz plant of the Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, located in Turkmenistan’s western province of Balkan's Turkmenbashy district, produced more than 48.2 thousand tons of salt in the first half of 2022.

The plant fulfilled six-month production plan by 102%, the country’s official media reported on Wednesday.

The enterprise produces table salt and technical salt. The technical salt produced at the plant is widely used in the fuel and energy sector of the country for refining petroleum products.

In January-June period of this year, the enterprise produced more than 15 thousand tons of table salt.

The products of the plant are also used in the textile industry when dyeing yarn in different colors.

The Guwlyduz plant ranks first in the production of salt in Central Asia and fourth in the world.
