Turkmenistan’s Guwlyduz Plant Produces 64.5 Thousand Tons of Granulated Salt

Guwlyduz plant of the Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, located in Turkmenistan’s western province of Balkan's Turkmenbashy district, produced more than 64.5 thousand tons of granulated salt in January-September of 2022.

The plant fulfilled nine-month production plan by 105.9%, the country’s official media reported on Friday.

During the period, the plant extracted 72,500 tons of salt for further processing. It also produced more than 23.2 thousand tons of packaged table salt, achieving a growth rate of 147.2 percent.

According to the report, the length of the lake, where the salt is produced, is up to 60 kilometers, the width of the southern side is 5 kilometers, and the width of the northern side is 3 kilometers.

The enterprise also produces technical salt, which is widely used in the fuel and energy sector of the country for refining petroleum products, as well as in textile industry, housing and communal services.
