Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry held talks with a representative of the US State Department

Turkmenistan and the United States held talks on expanding bilateral cooperation. The meeting was held on October 22 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Foreign Minister A. Gurbanov and Director of the Central Asian Department of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs of the U.S. Department of State Mark Cameron.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the diplomats discussed the current agenda and prospects for the development of Turkmen-American relations. The focus was on trade and economic cooperation, the fight against climate change, including joint efforts to reduce methane emissions, as well as the development of humanitarian cooperation.

Following the talks, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen constructive dialogue based on mutual respect and trust.
