Turkmenistan’s Expo 2020 Pavilion May Operate For Another Five Years

Batyr Atdayev, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government overseeing the country’s trade and textile complex, during the online cabinet meeting on Saturday briefed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the use of the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan at Dubai Expo-2020 in the United Arab Emirates.

The Vice-Premier said the world expo ended on March 31 and reported on the offer of the Organizing Committee of the World Expo 2020 to exhibit the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan for another five years, the official Turkmen media reports.

The pavilion can be used for the promotion and sale of Turkmen products, business meetings and forums, Atdayev stated.

Following the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that with the improvement of the global situation related to the coronovirus pandemic, it is necessary to continue organizing international exhibitions on numerous topics in Turkmenistan.

It is also necessary to return to the matters of opening Turkmen trade centers in foreign countries and cities, which will increase the volume of exports and create new jobs, the Head of State stressed, instructing to report on the work done in this direction.

Expo 2020 Dubai themed "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" lasted from October last year to March 2022. The Turkmen national pavilion operated at the Expo 2020 under the theme “Turkmenistan Homeland of Peace and Trust”.
