Turkmenistan's Demirýollary Launches New Service For Train Passengers

Demirýollary, the national railway company, is introducing a new service aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and improving sanitary conditions during journeys. As of Thursday, passengers can now purchase single-use bed sheets when buying train tickets, either at station ticket offices, terminals, or through the Turkmenistan Railways mobile app, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media.

The price for these sheets will automatically be added to the ticket purchase, providing an easy and convenient option for travelers. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to the health and well-being of its passengers by creating a safer and cleaner travel environment.

Additionally, passengers can transport up to 100 kilograms of luggage free of charge, and adults are allowed to bring one child under the age of five at no extra cost.

Train tickets can be bought online up to 10 days before departure and at station ticket offices 5 days before the trip. Passengers are advised to arrive at the station 45 minutes prior to departure.
