Turkmenistan, Russia's Ulyanovsk Oblast to Strengthen Business Ties

The Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan (Russian Federation) Atadurdy Bayramov and the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Oblast Sergey Morozov in a meeting on Friday in Ulyanovsk expressed their mutual interest in organizing specialized exhibitions, as well as online meetings of representatives of business structures.

The meeting participants highlighted the high role of the Russian regions located in the Volga-Kama basin in the implementation of joint economic, trade and logistics projects in the Caspian Sea. The sides discussed the matters of further intensification of the Turkmen-Russian cooperation, including with the Ulyanovsk Oblast, according to the Turkmen Consulate’s press release.

During the meeting, Morozov expressed interest in cooperation with Turkmenistan, particularly in the business field, according to the statement published on the official website of the Ulyanovsk Oblast government.

“We invite you to use the sites of the Ulyanovsk region, first of all, to take advantage of the logistics and customs advantages of our Special Economic Zone for organizing the delivery and sale of products from Turkmenistan to Russia,” Sergey Morozov said in the statement.

Consul General Atadurdy Bayramov also met with the Rector of Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University named after I.N.Ulyanov Igor Petrishchev. At the meeting, the parties considered the possibility of increasing the number of budgetary places in the universities of the region for citizens of Turkmenistan.
