On the eve of the 31st anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, the technical park of the Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Motor Transport) Agency was replenished with 150 purchased taxi cars of the Toyota Corolla brand, the country’s official media reported on Wednesday.
The new passenger taxis are equipped with electronic tablets and allow payment for travel service via bank cards.
The vehicles are also equipped with GPS system, which allows to determine the location of the vehicle at any time and monitor the driver's speeding.
The new Toyota Corolla passenger taxis meet all the requirements of safety, reliability and environmental friendliness of world standards.
According to the report, the consistent strengthening of the material and technical base of the transport sector of Turkmenistan contributes to improving the quality of passenger service.
In order to successfully implement the tasks of further improving the quality of motor transport services in Turkmenistan, a number of contracts were concluded for the supply of different vehicles.
